Blackwood
Tennis Club,
located 20km south of Adelaide (South Australia), competes Saturdays in
the Southern Districts Tennis Association (SDTA) competition
for
Seniors and Fridays and Saturdays for Juniors. The club participates in
family tennis fun days and has social tennis for anyone. The
club’s coaches
Peter Broughton
and Jeff Fisher have
also organised group coaching sessions, from beginners to higher
level of skills. Can't play tennis? Don't worry, beginners are welcome.
The club often has a barbecue after the day's matches so join the club
and enjoy Blackwood's friendly atmosphere.
The competitive summer season starts in October and ends in March or
April.
Winter season starts in May and ends in September.

Monday night social tennis
The Monday night social tennis
has started.
If you are interested in just playing tennis at a
social level at our club, the Monday night is perfect opportunity for
you.
Dean is our Monday night social coordinator and he will
be at the clubhouse from 7.30pm to about 10.00pm every Monday night, if
the weather permits.
You only pay $5.00 for a couple of hours
of tennis and you also play under lights. Any level of tennis
is welcome.

tennis racquets were strung during Australian Open
2005, using 26km of string.

Since 1905 the Australian
championships have been staged at six
different venues around Australia and New Zealand.
17 men entered the first Australasian Championships in 1905
and 5,000
people watched the final.

Ladies Day:
Every Tuesday and Wednesday 10.30am-1.30pm a group of ladies
are
playing. All standards of players are welcome. You bring your own
lunch. Tea and coffee is provided. Cost $3.00. If
you are interested, please just show up.

You don't need to be a member to play at BTC.
Do you need to hire a tennis court? The fee is $10.00/hour per court.
If you are a member it is free to play at
BTC.

non members-$10.00 and members-$5.00
